Anything But Elephants Pet Sitting/Training/Boarding

While You Are Away From Home
We will provide TLC to your dog, cat, bird, bunny, hamster, etc.  In addition, we will turn out/feed horses, goats, and chickens.   

Meet and Greet
During this visit, we will interact with your pet(s), discuss their routine, answer your questions, pick up a key to your home and discuss payment options. This initial visit will last approximately 30-45 minutes!

• take your dog for a 20 minute walk, supply him with fresh water, and give him a treat or two.  We are flexible and will work with you to tailor your dog's walking needs.  We adhere to leash laws and will not walk your dog “off leash” in parks or in open spaces. We want to be considerate of other people, pets and wildlife as well as keep your dog safe. 

• We will transport your pet to and from the groomer, vet, doggie daycare, etc.  If your pet is kenneled for travel (which we recommend) you must provide the kennel.

Training Your Puppy
My goal is to train you to train your dog by providing individual training instruction in the privacy of your own home.

I will introduce you to a positive training approach through reward based training.  When using positive reinforcement methods, your dog will learn to respond to your body language, the tone of your voice, and hand signals.

As I help you teach your dog the basic obedience commands such as sit, come, wait, stay, down, leave it, take it, etc., I will also be providing you with the skills to communicate with your dog! These skills will be invaluable throughout your relationship with your dog, whether you want to advance your dog’s training or teach your dog tricks to impress your friends!

You will also learn how to socialize your dog to people, pets, and other stimuli.  In addition, I will supply you with the skills to teach your dog house manners (jumping, chewing, potty training, barking, greeting visitors, etc.).
