A LITTLE ABOUT MEI'm a Manatee county native, and I have seen many changes to this area, I have two children and two grandchildren that live here as well. I was raised on a farm where I interacted with all sorts of animals on a daily basis, by the time I was 16, I was working full time on the farm, and this is where I claim to start my 26 years of experience from. But all in all I actually have 42 years of experience with animals, but only claim the 26 that I figure really matter.
My past 26 years include working for some local Veterinarians, and Cat and Dog boarding and Horse boarding facilities as well as dairy farms, and I have owned cows, Chickens, Hogs, Geese, Ducks, Turkeys, Horses and of course Dogs and Cats, Birds and Fish. So you can say that I have handled just about every type of
domesticated animal there is, with the exception of snakes, iguana's and spiders, I have a fear of these animals, and when I encounter one my natural instinct to flee kicks in. So I'm a country girl, as long as the country isn't to rough.
This is Sugar bear (buff) and Little man (black) I have had them both for several years, and despite their size, In their minds they think that they are actually a better watch dog than most pit bulls. They keep our home safe from the rood possum that comes calling at 1:00 am to take a look in our trash cans. And the Raccoon that fills in for the Possum when he can't make it. They are Fearless,Proud and Strong!!
This is one of my horses, Chief AKA Rocks Poco He loves to smile when it's feeding time. He gives kisses too. He spends most of his days grazing grass in the field, and playing in the pond. But regardless of what he may think, he is far from being spoiled.
This is Savannah, The one on the left, Her and Chief have been partners for about 7 years now. I have raised Savannah sense She was 9 months old, She has the sweetest eyes you have ever seen.
