During this initial consultation you decide how often you want your sitter to visit your home each day and what services you want performed. Our consultation will last between 30-40 minutes. A second visit to your home will incur a $15.00 charge.
Before you go away
Complete all forms.
Leave plenty of pet food and prescriptions, with written instructions on feeding times, amount to feed, grooming recommendations and what treats are allowed.
Tell the sitter about your pet's favorite hiding places likes and dislikes.
Make sure all your pets are wearing ID tags and are current on vaccinations.
If anyone else will have access to your home (such as family members, the exterminator or handyman), explain the pet-sitting arrangement, and vice versa.
Give your veterinarian your vacation dates and your sitter's name and telephone number.
Scheduling and Cancellation Policy
We utilize a 48-hour scheduling and cancellation policy to make certain all clients receive first-rate service. If you call or e-mail to schedule or cancel a visit (or visits) with less than 48 hours notice, you will be charged an additional fee, as we must adjust our schedule to accommodate yours.
Payment and Deposits
We request payment on the first day of service and should be placed in a sealed envelope. A 50% deposit is required prior to the start of service for overnight stays, as well as first time customers. Balance must be paid by initial service date. Checks returned by the bank for any reason are subject to a $25 fee.
Weather
During extreme weather (freezing temperatures, snow storms, pouring rain, extreme heat/humidity), we keep dogs outside only as long as it is comfortable for them. However, we do whatever we can to make it easier for them to relieve themselves before returning home.
Holiday Rates
There is a surcharge for services provided on major holidays (New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and following Friday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day)
Notifying Us When You Return Home
When we take care of your pet while you are out of town, it is important to notify us when your return. Please contact us within six hours of returning home. If we don't hear from you and we cannot reach you, additional visits may be necessary to ensure the safety of your pet.
Keys
We will obtain your house key during the initial consultation, when service is scheduled. Keys will be returned within 7 days of the end of your service, in person or by certified mail. There will be a charge for future key pick up or delivery
