My Pet's Buddy About us My name is Miranda, and I am married with three sons--an almost empty-nester.  Our family  includes two dogs, a cat and a sweet parakeet who keeps me company in the kitchen. Over the years we've had iguanas and turtles also, but never any snakes.  I could never get past the fact that their food needs to be alive, and for that reason I don’t take snakes as clients. In 2002, I retired from the US Air Force, having spent 27 years serving all over the world.  I am originally from Syracuse N.Y., and landed here in Greenwood (outside Shreveport) in 1993.  After the Air Force, I went to work part-time for the Shreveport Police Department.
