About usI am the owner/sitter, Rachel Bortz. Animals have been a lifelong passion for me, and I knew as a young child that I wanted to be surrounded by animals in my everyday life. I began pet sitting in Dunwoody about nine years ago. I have over eight years experience working in veterinary clinics as a kennel assistant and then as a veterinary technician (nurse). I have vast knowledge of animals, and have worked with many species in various industries. I have worked as a veterinary technician at several area veterinary clinics; volunteered with many animal rescues, and wildlife rehabilitation centers. Through these opportunities, I have been able to work with all species of animals; from your household pets such as dogs, cats, guinea pigs, rabbits, birds, reptiles and small animals, to exotic animals and wildlife. I also spent the better part of my childhood and teen years riding horses and have managed several equestrian centers where I worked with green hunter/jumpers, and also spent several years as the weekend manager at a horse rescue working with abused, elderly, and ill equine and livestock.
My passion for animals is what drives Pet Nanny to the Rescue to provide the best service possible to our clients and their pets. Our clients particularly love that we provide that personal touch and provide such personalized care to their babies.
If you have any questions or concerns, please call or email us at your earliest convenience. We will do our best to help you with any services you may need. We cannot wait to meet you and your pet, and hope that you are having a wonderful week.
Sincerely,
Rachel Bortz
