Read below to discover the differences between group and private training. If you still don't know which form of training is best for you and your pet, please contact the dog trainer, Jamie Lurtz, at 714 404 9314 or SolutionsPets@aol.com.
Private Training
Training sessions are customized on a case-by-case basis and done at your home. Prices are determined by the number of sessions. What is learned in the session is determined by what the owner would like the pet to learn, the owner's dedication to working with the pet, the complexity of the task, and the pet's ability to learn it. After a phone consultation, I will help you to determine how many sessions would be necessary in your individual case. The recommendation may change after meeting the pet. Also covered is information for the owner on how to deal with new situations involving their pet. Things taught include; animal knowledge (proper diet & exercise, pool safety, acceptance of a new baby, getting a new puppy, and first visit to a dog park), basic obedience (sit, stay, come, name recognition, down, loose leash walking, recall, targeting, go to place, stand, wait, take it, and leave it), and behavioral problems (house training, jumping, nipping, unruly behavior, begging, chewing, digging, and barking).
Additional charges may apply for travel to areas outside of Orange County. Please call (714 404 9314) or email for more info. I look forward to meeting you and your pet!

During the final weeks of class a long line will be needed to teach recall. I will give you more info about this in class.
Family participation in training is great for the dog's learning and increases their retention of obedience. However, you are the best judge as to whether your child is mature enough to participate in class and not be a disruption to others. Safety is our number one concern for all participants.
