Service Description and RatesResearch conducted by the American Humane Society shows that animals are most comfortable when they are in a familiar setting. Many veterinarians recommend that pets stay at home when their owners are away. This ensures that your pets can maintain a regular diet, which avoids digestive problems, and sleep and play in their accustomed places, with familiar smells, sights, and sounds around them.
In-Home Consultation
I will come to your home to meet with you and your pet(s) prior to your service. This meeting is required for all new and potential clients. This allows me to meet you and your pet(s), receive instructions on care, and to fill out the terms of service and comprehensive file on the pet(s). There is no charge for this meeting if you book dates with our service. Please expect to spend 30-45 min or longer at this meeting if the job requires it.
Pet Sitting
Pet sitting visits are available as many times a day as you choose. I require at least two visits daily for dogs, or once daily for cats (both indoor and outdoor).
Depending on your pets needs, we can offer fresh food and water, exercise, grooming and playing with your pet, provide basic litter box, cage and accident clean up, and administer medications. We can also provide the following services at no additional charge; bring in mail/newspapers, water plants, take out trash, adjust lights or windows. We are also available to provide custom miscellaneous services when asked.
Our rates are based on mileage, not per pet, and are typically around $20 per visit. Please ask about a quote for kennel, breeder, or farm sitting.
Horse/Livestock Sitting
We are available to sit for your horses and barnyard pets. Rachel's experience with equine and livestock consists of many years of riding hunter/jumper, several years experience as primary caretaker of several small farms, and several years as the secondary caretaker of a large (50+ horses) equine rescue where she worked with primarily ill, abused or elderly horses. In general, the rates for equine or livestock sitting begin at $35 per visit up to 4 horses and include turnout. Stalls are additional.
These jobs are quoted at the inital consult, and are available throughout Georgia, however out-of-area fees may apply.

Overnight Visits
We will stay in your home overnight with your pet from approximately 8:00pm until approximately 7:00am, however these times may vary. If your pet is used to sleeping with you, we are happy to provide “Bed Buddy” service at no additional cost. Overnight visits are $75.00 for a ten hour stay. We will walk the dog before our departure each morning, and after our arrival each night. We do recommend a midday visit in addition to overnight visits for dogs, as 7:00am until 8:00pm is a long time for your pet to be alone.
Daily Dog Walking Visits
This service works well for dogs whose owners either work long hours, for the hyperactive dog to run off some energy, or for the dog that just needs a little more exercise during the week. During a standard dog walking visit, we will walk and play with your dog for approximately thirty minutes. This gives your special pet a chance to stretch his or her legs during the day, relieve themselves, and spend an additional thirty minutes a day being spoiled rotten. Daily dog walks begin at $20.00 per session.
If your dog is properly socialized, vaccinated, and passes our “socialization” test, we can also provide a “ pet taxi” to the local dog park and spend time allowing them to run and play with other dogs. If you are nervous about having your dog at the dog park, we aldo offer park visits with a select group of dogs during the weekday early afternoons. The cost for the sixty minute session at the park (60 minutes at the park- does not including transportation time) is $35.00, and includes pick-up and drop-off at your home. Other time limits are available upon request. We will offer discounts if we set up three dogs from the same neighborhood for the same time slot.
Pet Taxi Service
We will pick your pets up and transport them to the vet, groomer, doggie daycare or anywhere else! Don't adjust your schedule - let us do the driving! Long distance/out of city trips depend on mileage/time; however most local trips are $35.00 per hour.
Pet Transport Service
We also offer pet transport service both locally and nationally. These trips are quoted on a trip by trip basis.
Other Services and Info
We also offer miscellaneous services such as puppy-sitting, pet food delivery and shopping, bathing, ear cleanings, nail or wing clips, medication/fluid lessons or administration of medication (veterinary prescribed)(including injections or fluids), litter box or aquarium cleaning, force feeding, or any other pet related service you may need. Since they can be so different, our custom services are quoted at the inital consult.
Custom services are available; please ask if there is anything that we can do for you!
Pet Nanny to the Rescue reserves the right to refuse service if we feel that your pet is "uncooperative," or that we are not a good match.
If there is any service that we do not provide, or am unable to do, we do have businesses that we recommended. When you call, please tell them we sent you.
