Big Paw Pet Care was founded by two hard working individuals that shared a similar interest and love for animals. We both agreed that there was a huge gap in pet care available for people who lead extremely busy lives. For the most part, there were only two options. Either leave your pet in the hands of a neighbor or friend or take your pet to the kennel. Friends and neighbors are inconvenienced and rarely take care of your pet as you would. Kennels present health concerns and don't provide the exercise your pet deserve. Our personal experience with both of these options revealed that we needed to fill this gap with professional in home pet services. Private services provided by someone who is professional, knowledgeable, ethical, reliable, and of course loves animals. We both believe that exercise is the key to sustaining your dog's happiness and health. Kennels offer little to no exercise for your dog. This makes for a very unhappy dog when you get home from your trip. Wouldn't you rather be greeted by a happy dog with a wagging tail?

As lifetime pet-owners, we understand how difficult it can be when you have to leave your pet. There is always the worry of where your pet will stay, and how they will react to a strange environment. Our services not only offer you peace of mind when you have to be away but your pet stays in the comfort of their own home. And while you are gone, we will care for each pet as if they were our own.

Big Paw Pet Care strongly believes that the primary way to keep your dog healthy and happy is by exercise and lots of affection. Our private dog walking services provide both.

Big Paw Pet Care is one of the only pet care service providers in the San Francisco bay area that offers completely paper-less billing, paper-less invoicing, and paper-less scheduling! We also do not engage in the practice of driving packs of dogs around only to be dropped off at unruly dog parks. Not only can that create a potential for an unsafe, uncontrolled, and unsanitary environment for dogs, it also puts more cars on the road and more exhaust in the air!
