PetsNPatients NFP
About usIMMEDIATE GOALS
Long-term illness or serious accidents represents change and adaptation. It often requires medical care for the disabled as they can no longer care for themselves or even their families. This may put a family pet in a “give-up” relinquishment or send them off to a worse case scenario. Serious illness or accident makes for an instant change and all households are inundated with patient and family care giving needs, often overnight. Patients that have a pet, love that pet and desire to keep them but are unable to care for the them we are a resource to connect assistance for them. Our website hosts stories of companion pets in wellness to create our Year of Celebrations Calendars, sponsored by compassionate businesses and private donors. All of our work is funded by donations and grants.
PetsNPatients NFP is NOT A PET RESCUE; we are a resource network of volunteers who will help provide short term help for pets while their owners recover. We seek local, regional, and national based pet rescues to join our PetsNPatients Program Partnership for additional resources in diverse areas where a need may exist.
SPONSORING A PETSNPATIENTS™ CALENDAR
PetsNPatients™ collaborates with organizations to focus on health research, maintaining or restoring health and wellness with joy! Our custom calendars will feature stories provided to us by patients which demonstrate how they overcame tough health challenges. Their storytelling will highlight how the human and companion animal bond made a visible difference in their outlook, and managing life with a new disability, while their pets provide unconditional love. We value keeping patients focused on the positives in life. Sharing recovery stories about their pets gives hope to other patients and families; it becomes a gift of love, laughter and healing, one "tail" at a time!
