About usMy husband, George and I, started this business after needing pet care for our Akita, Sheila, and two cats, Ching and Scooter, due to an out of town family emergency requiring us to leave town quickly. Our pets are like are family and they usually travel with us. Due to the extreme nature of this situation, we were unable to take them with us. It was the middle of spring break and all the kennels in town were full. Luckily, we found a pet sitter who made special trips to our home on short notice to take care of our babies. From that moment on, we knew this business was for us. We love all pets...BIG and small...dogs, cats, reptiles, fish, whatever it may be. Pet Lovers Pet Sitters was created to fill that need for everyone who loves their pets and wants the best care possible for them when their owners are unable to do it themselves.

Service Areas:
We specialize in the areas of Pensacola Beach, Gulf Breeze to Holley By The Sea. Further distances will require additional costs due to cost of fuel.
Client Consultation:
Please call to make an appointment for initial client consultation. At this meeting, you will meet with my husband, George or myself to discuss your pet care needs, the service contract and emergency vet form. Please have emergency contact names and phone numbers as well as vaccination records available. A rabies certificate is required. Please be sure let us know if there are any health concerns for your pets. At this time, please have 2 keys available for us (one for the office and one for the sitter.)
Please be advised that we do not sit for vicious pets. If your pet is vicious upon arrival or becomes vicious during your absence, you will be notified and other arrangements will have to be made.
Rates:
The approximate rate for the particular services that you will require will be quoted over the phone. The rate varies between $15 (a 30 minutes visit which includes a 15 minute leashed walk or run in your neighborhood, feeding, watering, litter box scooping and basic home care) to $20 (a 30 minute walk or run plus feeding, watering, litter box scooping, and basic home care) per visit. Or if you prefer, for $15 per visit we will provide a 30 minutes visit with playtime in your home or yard, feeding, water, litter box scooping and basic home care. $10 per visit for pet turnouts which are available during the middle of the day. This is simply letting your pet out to do his or her business and placing them back in your home. This service is great for puppies or clients who expect to work long hours. The rate will be finalized during the initial consultation and will be based on the number of pets you have and the amount of work that will be required, additional charges may be applicable.
On holidays (Easter, Mother's Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas) we will make a.m. and p.m. visits only in order to spend time with our family.

Payment of Services:
Payment in full is expected at the time initial client consultation or booking the reservation. Payment should be make payable to PLPS. There is a $25 handling charge in addition to any charges presented by the bank for a check returned for any reason.
Reservations:
Please make weekend reservations by Wednesday of the week that you will need pet sitting service. Last minute reservations will be charged an additional $5 for any reservation make after 7:00 p.m. for the next day service.
Time:
The time of the visit can not be guaranteed due to possible unavoidable circumstances, such as traffic.
Additional Visitors in Your Home:
If someone else will be coming into your home, you will relinquish Pet Lovers Pet Sitters from all liability for damage to your home and injury to or neglect of your pet.
Cancellations:
Sometimes, the need arises to cancel your reservation. If you need to cancel, please do so 24 hours prior to our first visit. If we make a visit to your home or if you cancel less that 24 hours prior to our first visit, you will be charged for the full amount of that visit.
Pet Sitting Hours:
6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. 7 days a week
