About UsJan graduated from Cook College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science, Jan's first job was as a Breeding Farm Assistant at Guiding Eyes for the Blind in Yorktown Heights, New York. Here she learned a great deal about breeding dogs, puppy care and basic obedience training. After leaving Guiding Eyes, Jan worked as a Laboratory Technician at Exxon for 13 years. During this time she continued to train her own dogs, earning CD titles with three of them. She also learned some tracking training and began Search & Rescue training with two of her dogs. She and her husband moved to Independence Township in 1983, bringing with them their dogs and horses. Throughout the years they have owned dogs, cats, horses, sheep, a goat, many chickens, parrots, rabbits, ducks, anoles and a few cattle. Jan has also recently worked as an Animal Care Technician caring for various other animals such as pigs and monkeys. Between pet care assignments, Jan tutors students in the Equine Sciences, Biology and Chemistry at Centenary College.
Jan is dedicated to providing her clients with the best service available. In September 2006 she completed the training course offered by Pet Sitters International and passed their test to become an Accredited Pet Sitters International Pet Sitter.
Leslie is a life-long resident of Warren County. Always an animal lover, she began working for a local Veterinary clinic while still in high school. She was hired by the clinic full time upon graduation from school and trained as a Veterinary Technician. Leslie eventually expanded her technical skills, acquiring knowledge in the care of all types of companion animals, horses and livestock. Besides working in a Veterinary Clinic, she has worked at a pet boarding and grooming kennel, and for a private equine facility.
Leslie is a former horse owner herself, and currently owns dogs and ferrets. She has a great deal of experience working with dogs, cats, ferrets, rabbits, horses, cows, sheep, goats, pigs and monkeys.
