Chambley & Co. is a unique service offering pet sitting, midday dog walking, and specialized dog training with an emphasis on problem solving. With more than 14 years of experience, Chambley & Co. is committed to providing outstanding service whether you are looking for in-home pet care while you’re away or the beloved dog in your life seems intent on testing your goodwill.
My service emphasis is on personalized, one-on-one care for you and your dog and cat. My practice is focused right in our neighborhood. I alone – not one of a crew of employees – hold your house keys, visit your home, interact with your pet, and prepare a report for you to review upon your return to town. In addition to the services you’d expect, I provide related assistance such as play time, plant and garden watering, litter box maintenance, and mail gathering. I’ll even pick up that Sunday Inquirer you’ll miss while you’re traveling. And, for that wonderful though challenging dog, I offer behavioral consulting and training.
My mission at Chambley & Co. is to be the best pet care professional you and your beloved companions will ever know and trust; to offer high quality care and knowledgeable guidance; and to be the pet sitter, dog walker, and training resource with whom you can build a strong, long-term relationship.
I’ve been working with our neighbors and pets for almost 15 years. In 1995 I was the first pet care professional to be awarded Best of Philly for dog walking service and in 1999, I opened Club Canine day care for dogs. I’m certified in pet first aid and CPR. I’m insured and bonded. I hold active memberships in the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT), the Animal Behavior Management Alliance (ABMA), and Pet Sitters International (PSI). As a public service to my neighbors, I’m offering Dog Training in the Park. The sessions are held on Saturdays in the small dog run at Schulkyll River Park. They’re free, and are an opportunity for me to work with dogs and their people – I want to help you learn how to be your best friend’s best friend.
Fascinated with animal behavior, I’ve learned to get inside their heads to know what they need and want and to understand their behavior. I address problems with the goal of behavior modification using positive reinforcement. I have a heartfelt understanding of the role our companion animals play in our lives: they’re not our children, exactly; they’re not even members of our species; but absolutely, they are family members. They trust us to give them a safe, loving, and attentive home. Whether you’re a busy professional or you’re leaving town on vacation, you can feel confident when you extend that trust to me, just as many of our neighbors have.
I look forward to working with you and yours.
