Walking

• Paws Outdoors provides your dog with exercise that is crucial to its physical and mental wellbeing.  These sessions may be in the form of walking, running, group sessions, playing at home or providing socialization for your pet.  Sessions with Paws Outdoors handlers are tailor-made to your pet’s needs, taking into account its breed, age and physical condition.  We cater for pets of all ages from puppies, to our more senior canine citizens.
• Sessions can be booked on a daily, weekly, or casual basis. Discounts are available for weekly bookings and for clients with more than one dog.  We provide walks from ½ hour to 1 hour.  We will pick up your dog from your home or other agreed location for its fun-filled session and return them safely.
• Group sessions are available for small dogs. Paws Outdoors will handle a maximum of 4 small dogs in any one group so get a few friends’ dogs together for a play.  Alternatively contact Paws Outdoors and we can assist you with forming a play group.

• In-home visits

  • At Paws Outdoors we will make daily visits, or more often if requested, to care for your dog and other pets in your home when you are away.  We understand that many animals feel more comfortable staying at home amongst familiar surroundings while owners are absent.   Whether your trip takes you away for the weekend, or a more substantial period of time, Paws Outdoors handlers will walk your dog as usual, provide food and fresh water for all animals, empty litter trays, administer medications if required, and even check your mailbox and put out your bins. This service is provided for a small fee on top of your usual walking cost, or a standard fee for new clients.  Of course hugs and tender loving care for your pets is thrown in for free, along with a hydro bath so your dog is looking its best when you return home! 

   

  *NEW* In-home pet care and house sitting service

  • For some animals, being removed from their usual environment is just not an option.  In these instances Paws Outdoors will come to them.  A Paws Outdoors professional who has been trained in canine first aid, and police and referee checked, will stay in your home and ensure your animals are in good health and treated to their usual home comforts. A  Paws Outdoors professional will also attend to your usual household chores – watering gardens, attending to rubbish collection, and other negotiated tasks.  All of this leaves you to enjoy your time away resting assured that your pets are happy and healthy, and the security of your property is being maintained day and night.

   

  It is advised that you notify Paws Outdoors of your planned absence well in advance to avoid disappointment. 

   

  Obedience training

  • Paws Outdoors understands that with today’s busy lifestyles it is difficult to find the time to get your dog to obedience classes.  As one of our services, Paws Outdoors handlers are happy to take your dog to obedience sessions for you.  We will pick your pet up and return it, hopefully with some more compliant behaviour than when it left home!  Contact us to discuss this option.

   

  Pet Food/Accessories Home Delivery Service

  • Whether you have a dog, cat, or a menagerie we can cater to your needs.  All you have to do is phone or email through your order to Cairns one-stop pet supply shop - PETstock animal supplies Cairns - and we will have it to your door within 24 hours.
