About UsWho are we?
My name is Melanie Flores. My husband is Johnny. We have lived in Sharpsburg, Georgia since 1998. I absolutely love it here. My husband and myself are both animal lovers. We take great pride in being able to help others take care of their pets. In our house, we have 7 pets that allow us to live with them. They are: Elvis (a chocolate Lab/Doxie mix), Presley (a double dapple Doxie), Josie (an Isabella Doxie), Cheyenne (a blue merel Collie), Scarlet (a red Doxie) and two kitties: JC and Winky.
Why become a Pet Sitter?
After Johnny and I were married, our family of pets just kept growing. We soon discovered how difficult it was to go on vacation for any length of time without worrying about the family we left at home. Were they being fed like they were used to? Were they being played with? Were they getting the attention they are used to? Were they lonely? Was the mail brought in? Was the house OK? Did the water in the fish tanks evaporate too much?
Our wonderful family helped us out a lot. What about the times we were on family vacations? Sometimes we had to cut it short. Sometimes we had to cancel. We needed a Pet Sitter; someone reliable; someone to keep everything at our home in order while we were away; someone that would love our pets as much as we do!
We started Luv Your Petz to help others go on vacation or business trips without worry. We soon found that the pets were MUCH happier too. If your pet can stay in it's own home, he/she is MUCH less stressed. We try to stay as close to your pet's normal schedule as possible. We are here to keep your pets as stress free and as comfortable as if you were home. It was placed in our hearts to help and that's what we do.
What a reward it has been! Who knew it would be such a joy playing and caring for other people's pets? We did!!
