LETTER OF REFERENCE
A DOGGONE GOOD LIFE
March 24, 2008
My husband and I are the owners of a 7 month old pug named Nicky whom we bought from a breeder at the end of December 2007.
My job requires that I travel out of state every other month for a week. Sandra Lee of a Doggone Good Life was referred to me by my sister, who is the owner of Nicky’s brother, Porky. I wanted a reliable, mature and trustworthy professional who would walk Nicky twice a day and also feed him his supper.
At the time we purchased Nicky he was almost 5 months old. Nicky had never been socialized outside of his own home, had never worn a collar and was never walked on a leash. In addition, he did not like his crate and would cry whenever we tried to put him in his crate for rest. I was very anxious to leave my beloved puppy with anyone and worried that he would not be well cared for while I was away.
Sandra Lee came to my home for a consultation visit. She met and played with Nicky who took to her instantly. She was well prepared for the meeting and took copious notes regarding Nicky’s schedule, his behavior as well as his training needs, which at the time were many. We took Nicky for a walk so Sandy could see Nicky’s “route” and she observed my interaction with Nicky and offered helpful suggestions.
While I was away on business, I received a “Pawgress Report” from Sandy every single day. The Pawgress reports were wonderful and included pictures of Nicky so I could see how he was doing. In addition to the Pawgress reports, I received videos of Sandy crate training Nicky and Nicky playing and socializing with Sandy’s pack. Sandy did so much more that just walk my dog. She played with him and at my request, she trained him to walk correctly on a leash and best of all, she crate trained him for me. On rainy days she put Nicky’s raincoat on, on cold days, she put Nicky’s fleece jacket on. She understood that Nicky needed more socialization and made sure that he had several play date sessions with other dogs. It was wonderful and so reassuring to see the pictures and videos of Nicky running and playing with other dogs. I came home to a happy, healthy puppy who was well cared for.
Sandra Lee is a true professional. She did everything she said she would and more. She is highly qualified to care for any type of dog as her resume and credentials will attest. She is calm and patient with not only dogs, but with the owner. She responded to my many emails immediately and always went out of her way to make sure that I was comfortable with the process.
I highly recommend a Doggone Good Life. Rarely have I seen such excellence in customer service. I intend to utilize a Doggone Good Life whenever the need arises. In fact, I would not trust leaving my dog with anyone other than Sandra Lee.
Sincerely,
Judi-Ann DiBona-Marino
