Animals do much better in their normal, safe and secure environment while surrounded by familiar sights, sounds and smells. They receive love and personal attention, and are able to stick to their normal routine. This eliminates the trauma of an unfamiliar environment, close proximity to other animals and possible exposure to disease and infection. Owners benefit by knowing their family pets (dogs, cats, birds, ferrets and horses, just to name a few!) are in the loving and caring hands of an experienced caretaker who can deal with any issue that may arise. And as an experienced veterinary technician, I am able to provide for the special needs of elderly pets and pets with acute or chronic medical conditions. I can administer medication or other care as prescribed by their veterinarian, and be on the lookout for any early signs of illness. Owners will also have a greater sense of security for their home with someone going in and out a few times a day. I can bring in the mail and newspapers, turn different lights on each day and water the plants. If a client is not out of town but needs a dog walked or a pet bathed, or needs a pet taken to their veterinarian or groomer, I can take care of that as well. Rates and Services Initial Consultation Free At this visit, we can complete the necessary paperwork, answer questions, transfer keys and tour your home, while discussing detailed instructions on how to care for your pets. This meeting is only needed prior to my first visit to your home, and should be scheduled at least 48 hours prior to service. Basic Daily Visit $15.00 A minimum of 30-40 minutes is spent in your home with 1 or 2 pets, for feeding, walking, playing, cleaning the litter box, etc. Additional Daily Visits $12.00 Most pets will require 2-3 visits per day. Additional Pets (more than 2), per pet $ 2.00 For large multiple pet homes, a flat price will be quoted. Dog Walking or other Short Visit $12.00 For a mid-day walk while you are at work, or a potty break for a young puppy, or letting your dogs out in your fenced-in yard, for example (15-20 minutes). Travel Charges Stephens County (except Martin and Avalon) Free Martin, Avalon, Lavonia, Clarkesville and Westminster $3.00 Other Services Pet transportation, bathing of both cats and dogs, and other services as needed, will be quoted upon request.
