I will also water plants, bring in mail and newspapers, alternate lights, open and close draperies, and set alarm systems so that the home appears occupied - an important consideration when you are away for an extended period of time.
You can use my services for vacations, weekend getaways, holidays, business trips, single visits, family or business emergencies pet care while you are injured or ill and checking on sick pets while you are at work.
I worked at the North Shore Veterinary Clinic in Skokie, IL. In addition to my hand on experience at the clinic, I also completed Veterinary Assistant classes through the American Animal Hospital Association, and Cedar Valley College . Along with my studies. I worked part time at the Animal Emergency & Critical Care Center in Northbrook, IL .
I decided to further my education in the world of exotics. I worked in the specialty department at Petsmart for 2 years.
I have developed a strong reputation and rapport with the veterinary clinics in the area.
I specialize in areas of pet sitting that include pets with behavioral problems, medical needs, senior pets, and care in the comfort of the pets own home. I stay overnight in the owners home, or can stop by a few times a day.
I also assist owners with medicating pets. I assist in pilling, injections, and subcutaneous fluids. I have a lot of knowledge, and hands on experience in treatment of Chronic Renal Failure and Diabetes in pets.
I enjoy working with multiple animal rescues and non-profit charitable organizations by participating in fundraisers and donation programs.
I am accredited by the American Pet Association. The APA is an independent, national Humane Organization dedicated to effectively promoting responsible pet ownership and supporting humane agencies and the adoption process. For 18 years Members have turned to the APA to recommend products, services and facilities. The APA's ethics are the highest in the industry and I worked hard to obtain this accreditation.
