Arkansas Pet Grooming School Arkansas Pet Grooming School was founded in 2006 by Donald and Mary Ann Berry, as a training facility for Professional Grooming School for dogs.  We are licensed and authorized by Arkansas State Board of Private Career Education.  Instructor has a BSE degree in education, 35 years experience in the professional pet grooming industry. Certified Red Cross Instructor in Pet CPR, First Aid, Massage, Therapy, Behavior, and vet assistant. Mary has breed Poodles, Beagles, Brussels Griffon, Bulldogs, Chihuahuas, Cocker Spaniel, Dachshund, Fox Terrier, Lhasa Apso, Maltese, Pekingese, Pug and Schnauzers. She has had some type of dog all of her life and is truly an animal lover.  Has a BSE degree, Red Cross Certified Instructor, Dog massage, assistant vet and a popular speaker and demonstrator. Donald Berry is an acting director, owner, general manager, designer and fabricator of the APGS equipment. Mary Ann says he is her right hand man!  Even though Mary had to slow down because of back problems and age, she still wants to stay involved with animals. So she has decided to pass her skills on to others and help them have a fulfilling life in the Professional Grooming Industry. This is a business that you can make any where from $30,000 to $75,000 a year. Depends on your skills and motivation. Our curriculum will provide students solid foundation of proper animal care, give hands on instruction on bathing, brushing and grooming techniques. Once these techniques are mastered, students are taught to professionally style all breeds of dogs with individual instruction given by the instructor. Our hands on teaching methods simulate actual working conditions in the field.  Once you have received your diploma you can start your own professional dog grooming business, work with another groomer, get a job with a vet grooming, or work at a pet store as a professional groomer, mobile grooming, the possibilities are numerous. But best of all you can be your own boss and work out of your home if you so chose, the choice is up to you! We have always loved the profession of dog grooming because it can be a very happy experience for both the groomer and the pet.
