Hello! My name is Annarita, owner of MDPSS. We are in business to help others seamlessly maintain a comfortable home for their animal companions while they are not able. Our specialty is in multiple pet households in the Ann Arbor area.

How Much Discipline?
Although I am a HUGE fan of National Geographics show "The Dog Whisperer," I also recognize that not all animals require the amount of discipline that Cesar Milan would recommend on his show. The most important part of my job is to help the animal feel safe and content. So I practice the level of discipline (or lack) that his/her mom and dad would. That is why we must ask  many questions at the initial consultation. As much as I enjoy keeping up the level of training, I do find it pleasant to have the opportunity to really spoil a pet if that is what he/she is accustommed to.

More From the Owner
I have been pet sitting since 1993 and have honed my skills down to a science. Mrs. Doolittle Pet Sitting Service is bonded and insured through Business Insurers of the Carolinas offered through the National Association of Professional Petsitters. 

I am extremely patient with all types of animals and even enjoy the challenge of getting a reserved or cantankerous rescued animal to eventually trust me and look forward to my visits. I also tend to have a calming effect on most people and animals. Having lived with animals in the past, I understand the anxiety of leaving them with someone while having to be away. That is why I am committed to being available to clients by cell phone and/or email, 24/7 when necessary.

Visits or Overnights
We visit with pets to walk, feed and/or just play. Since routine is important to animals, we do our best to keep the same environment for them while their companions are away as well as visit at the same time each day. Great care is given to see that client homes are kept in excellent condition upon their return. To this end, I often bring my own utensils and sleeping bag for overnight visits.
