Grand Paws Pet Sitter is a professional, in-home specialty pet care service that caters specifically to the needs of your pets and your home. We travel to your home to care for your pets in their own familiar environment where they are the most comfortable and happy. This allows your pet to keep their everyday routine without ever having to leave the comfort and safety of their home. You can travel having the peace of mind in knowing that your pets are in the hands of a loving and caring professional. We are a pet sitting and dog walking company unmatched by any other in both service and staff.
You and your pets are our priority. During our initial consultation, we will come to your home to meet you and your pets and learn as much information as possible about your pets, their routines, personalities and needs. We will provide a service contract and pet profile sheets, which will request all necessary information: emergency contacts, veterinary information, etc. To guarantee the safety of your pets and property, we are bonded, insured, and certified by the American Red Cross in Pet CPR/First Aid. We are a registered business and members of the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters and Pet Sitters International …. We adhere to their Quality Standards of Excellence.

Meet the Owner
Dana McKool has been a resident in the Dallas area, since 1981. A graduate of Texas A&M University with a business degree in Marketing, she had a successful career in Corporate Advertising for over 17 years. Although advertising was her day job, her love and passion was working with and rescuing animals. She spent much of her free time volunteering with local shelters and organizations. She affectionately became known among her peers in the advertising industry as the “animal lady”.
While in the corporate world, business travel was a major part of Dana’s life. Trying to find someone who would not only care for her pets while she traveled, but also love them like she did, was very hard to do. It was out of this need, and her love and passion for animals, that Grand Paws Pet Sitter was born. Her goal was to provide superior pet care with the utmost integrity and professionalism, while having fun along the way.
Dana and her husband share their home with two dogs, two kitties, two hilarious parrots, and multitudes of fish.

At Grand Paws Pet Sitter, our sitters are all professional, reliable adults and have pets of their own. Each sitter is chosen for their love and nurturing spirit toward animals and their maturity, knowledge and professionalism. They are all qualified to administer medications and are prepared for emergencies. A thorough background screening by a private firm is completed on each sitter, before they come to work with us. All our sitters are bonded, insured, and live within the area of the clients they serve. Our sitters love their jobs and being part of our team.
