Patch & Perry are Amy's (the owner) kids.  Perry was adopted from the DFW pug rescue in    October 2002.  His mom, Trudy, was rescued from a local shelter right before being euthanized.  The DFW Pug Rescue was surprised to find out that Trudy was pregnant.  She had 7 pug-mix pups on August 8, 2002.  

Patch Adams was adopted from Lexee's Legacy in May 2003.  Patch, his mom, Courtney, and his brothers and sisters were rescued from a field by one of Lexee's volunteers.  Patch's mom was emaciated from using all she had to feed her babies.  Luckily, Patch's mom and all of his litter mates were nursed back to health and all have been adopted into fabulous homes.

After adopting both dogs, Amy became involved in rescue work and has become an advocate for animals.  She currently fosters dogs and helps them find new homes.

The dogs are the reason Amy founded Patch & Perry's Pet Sitting, LLC.  She wanted to build a company that would give all pets the same love and attention that she gives Patch, Perry, and her foster dogs.  She also knew how difficult it could be to give her furry kids all of the time and attention they need due to life's demands.
